Aerial Yoga 102
Sunday, May 5
2:00-4:00pm
$35 in advance, $40 day of

Open to anyone with a regular yoga practice.

Aerial Yoga brings your practice into suspension, allowing the body to find greater ease and more agility. The aerial element helps to change the body's relationship to gravity.

Aerial yoga focuses on supported release, and aids with balance as well as the integration of strength and flexibility. It also helps in developing spatial awareness, and physically supports students in moving further into their individual practice. This combination brings not only a deeper understanding of yoga, but also brings a playful energy into the yoga room.

Although Chelsea has an extensive background in aerial acrobatics, aerial yoga is intended to be a 'feel good' experience and is not meant for performance purposes.

This technique is accessible to all ages, and all body types.

The 102 workshop will cover fewer basics of the yoga practice.

Chelsea O'Brian is a professional aerial artist. She has performed and taught in the US, Canada, France, Australia and Iceland. She currently teaches and directs aerial at Zaccho Dance theatre, AcroSports, and Urban School. She has a great love for creating and sharing her developments with others.
