Teachers

Classes are led by Bhatki Flow certified instructors and are flow-based (Vinyasa). Most classes are in a heated (not stifling) room, with varied and hip music. We use a state of the art sound system.

It's all about love, Ahimsa baby. Ahimsa, a Sanskrit word, literal translation is do no harm. When Yoga first found me I was unconsciously living in patterns of harm, which I believe many of us continue to do, cue the Yoga. Yoga didn't have this automatic transformative effect the first time I practiced, actually quite the opposite. It wasn't till moving to SF and practicing Yoga with such powerful instructors that I had an "AHA" moment. What was this "AHA"? It was the realization that we have the ability to stop clasping, grasping and struggling to the idea of a perfect life and instead use that energy to start living a joyful and powerful life. How So? By learning to LET GO of our idea of perfection. When we're in the studio together I am conscious to create a space of compassion and love. This love based environment creates an opportunity for all to explore beyond the idea of perfection. Your body will be vigorously encouraged, your mind will be lovingly pushed and you're heart just might expand... that part is up to you! I, myself, am encourage and pushed to expand by Gopa Rusty Wells.

Eric Kobrick

Eric Kobrick

Eric Kobrick's first yoga class was with Rusty Wells. He realized during this first practice that Bhakti Yoga was, for him, the perfect blend and culmination of many years of flamenco dance, fitness, and athletic training. Soon afterward, he completed his 200 Hour Bhakti Flow Teaching Certificate in November, 2008. He continues to study with and assist Rusty and his classes. After training with Headstand, a local non-profit that brings yoga to youth throughout the Bay Area, Eric, also a teacher at Sequoia High School, initiated a yoga program to bring yoga to teenagers. In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says that he can only be known through "single minded and intense devotion". Eric can only hope that the love, breath, music, sincerity, and humor of his classes will show this devotion and help us accept ourselves.
